Jakarta, MKOnline - As a series of events to celebrate the 8th Anniversary of Constitutional Court (MK), it held Comprehension Quiz Competition concerning Law Constitution of Republic of Indonesia for Junior High Students with Visual Impairment in Indonesia for period 2011, Friday (27 / 5). The competition will last for three days, starting Friday - Sunday, May 27 - 29, 2011 held at the Constitutional Court Building.

Chairman Moh. Mahfud MD said to develop awareness, it was not only needed to know and understand about the 1945 Constitution as the state constitution, but also necessary of appreciation.
This quiz contest is one way to deepen the understanding of the 1945 Constitution. "We formulate a simple on consciousness through the idea and because of we want it, when it should also needed appreciation. Appreciation against the 1945 Constitution is an important thing for 1945 Constitution as a place to go and return in the basic character of a nation and state. The principles in the life of nation and state contained in the 1945 Constitution, "said Mahfud was accompanied by Vice Chairman Achmad Sodiki, Mohammad Alim, Anwar Usman and Secretary General of the Constitutional Court Janedjri M. Gaffar.

The Quiz contest has a special meaning because the participants are blind students of junior high level. "Competition has become important as an effort to deepen and live the 1945 Constitution. Mainly because the participants are blind who usually have a sharper memory and higher sensitivity in living up. This also indicates that these brothers understand the constitutional rights guaranteed in the 1945 Constitution, "he explained.

In the preliminary round, it will be followed by nine groups, each consisting of four teams. Group A followed by four teams, namely Extraordinary School (SLB) A Tan Miyat, SLB A Perwari, SLB A Budi Nurani and SLB Al Khair. The winner for Group A was eventually won by SLB A Perwari, Kuningan, West Java. In 2011, the quiz contest participants who participated in 36 teams representing their respective schools from 20 provinces. This amount is more when compared with 2010 and then followed by 27 teams. The 36th of 19 teams from all over Indonesia Province covers an area of Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Bali and Nusa Tenggara, and Sulawesi.

Materials of question contested are about the Articles in the 1945 Constitution as well as its understanding. Previously, all potential participants have been equipped with 1945 books in Braille published the results of the Constitutional Court. Champion who contested the Winner, Second Place and Third Place with each winner will get a prize of the Permanent Cup of Court and Money for Coaching.

The competition is the realization of responsibility taken by the Constitutional Court in the dissemination of understanding of the 1945 Constitution to the various circles. In addition, it aims to make space for the future generation, especially male and female students of SMPLB blind persons to become familiar with constitutional rights. Constitutional rights are inherent in every citizen, including blind people like them. Some constitutional rights include the right to develop them by fulfilling their basic needs, and is also entitled to education and to benefit from science and technology, arts and culture.
